Muzeul este o instituție permanentă, aflată în serviciulsocietății, deschisă publicului, care seocupă cu strângerea, păstrarea, identificarea, catalogarea, analizarea, menținerea, conservarea și expunerea de diverse obiecte sau artefacte ce prezintă interes științific,istoric,artistic,tehnologic, în scopul studierii, educării, relaxării vizitatorilor, a oamenilor de știință.

Termenul de „muzeu” desemnează, de asemenea, clădirea propriu-zisă în care se găsesc păstrate, conservatei expuse acele obiecte, artefacte și/sau lucruri care au o legătură, într-un felsau altul, cucivilizația umană.

Peru: New Law to Preserve Titicaca Lake

Lima, Jul 21 (Prensa Latina) The Peruvian Government passed a law for the environmental preservation of Titicaca Lake, which is shared by the country with Bolivia, through national resources and international cooperation.

The law, published in the official gazette El Peruano, says that the National Executive, Puno´s regional government, on the Peruvian side of the lake, and the coastal municipalities, will prioritize actions to favor the also called Sacred Lake.

But mathematicians at UC Davis "...show that space-time cannot be locally flat at a point where two shock waves collide,” said Blake Temple, professor of mathematics at UC Davis. “This is a new kind of singularity in general relativity.”

Multi-Telescope View of Giant Black Hole Is 2 Million Times Sharper than Human Eye

Scientists using three telescopes spaced thousands of miles apart have caught the best look ever of the center of a distant quasar, an ultra-bright galaxy with a giant black hole at its core.

By linking powerful radio telescopes in Chile, Arizona and Hawaii together, astronomers created a deep-space observing system with 2 million times sharper vision than the human eye, which gave them the most detailed direct view ever of a supermassive black hole inside a galaxy 5 billion light-years from Earth.

Hubble a descoperit o nouă galaxie de tip spirală

Astronomi de la Institutul de Astronomie şi Astrofizică Dunlap a Universităţii din Toronto au observat o galaxie ciudată de tip spirală, care pare să se fi format cu miliarde de ani înaintea alor spirale.

Astronomii au precizat că descoperirea lor este cel puţin ciudată, pentru că galaxia în cauză se găseşte la 10,5 miliarde de ani lumină de Pământ, ceea ce o plasează într-un moment când Universul avea doar trei miliarde de ani, perioadă în care spiralele de acest gen erau destul de rare.

Apoi, am cercetat, timp de mai multe săptămâni, o parte din cele peste 50.000 de referinţe, în multe dintre limbile lumii, şi am descoperit că regina massageţilor este revendicată, în diverse forme, de istoria străveche a mai multor popoare şi ţări: Armenia, Azerbaidjan, Georgia, Kazahstan, România, Rusia şi Ucraina.
